If your cat has recently shown any of these signs, it may indicate cognitive decline — consider tracking how often and how long:
- Seems not to recognize familiar family members or other pets
- Forgets once-familiar routines, like where the litter box or food bowl is
- Reaction to new or unfamiliar food has changed
