tuna
Tuna has higher mercury content than other fish. Long-term heavy feeding risks mercury accumulation. For cats specifically: tuna as the sole food source may cause Vitamin E deficiency from excess polyunsaturated fats, leading to steatitis (yellow fat disease) with severe pain and fever.
Other common names: tuna fish, skipjack tuna, albacore tuna, bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, 鮪魚, 鰹魚, ツナ, まぐろ, かつお, 金槍魚
