sodium selenite
An inorganic selenium supplement. Selenium is essential but the safety margin is extremely narrow — the difference between requirement and toxicity is small. Excess causes selenosis: claw loss, hair loss, vomiting, nerve damage, and liver injury. Cats are particularly sensitive.
Other common names: selenious acid sodium salt, 亞硒酸鈉, 亜セレン酸ナトリウム
